Somerset Young Walkers at Lytes Cary

Somerset Young Walkers

We’re Somerset Young Walkers. Founded by the Ramblers in 2002, we are a walking and hiking group for young people in their 20s, 30s and 40s in and around Somerset.

We walk every Sunday and most walks will include a visit to a pub or café either during or after the walk. Walks are organised in most parts of the county including the Quantock hills, Exmoor, Blackdown hills and Somerset levels meaning it is ideal for people living in Taunton, Yeovil or Bridgwater.

There is also a strong social element to the group, our members organise nights out, evening walks and weekends away amongst themselves.

Whichever part of Somerset you live in, we’ve got a walk for you – please see our current walks programme. We look forwards to seeing you on a walk soon, just turn up to the start point with your walking boots and a packed lunch, we’ll take care of the rest!
